Often overlooked are the aesthetic details that are a permanent part of the building structure.  The first image shows the elaborate relief stone carving and lettering over the main entrance.

Many of the decorative features show the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement.

The details of the stair railing show the influence of the American Arts and Crafts movement, or "Prairie School," as exemplified in the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright.

The bases of the lamps on the ground outside the entrance show a slightly more Art Nouveau look in the metal work, and were possibly added later in place of the lamps which originally sat on the half walls outside the entrance.
